Don't get me wrong, I actually love Sundays and look forward to much about them. But they are such hard days, other than the 3 hour block, for my kids.
I need your ideas. What do you do on Sunday to keep your kids busy, help them to feel the spirit of the day and keep them happy? I feel like my kids are so bored all day long.... I think I am failing to get the idea of Sunday being extra special through.

we starting having sunday movie night with nana and papa as well as sunday sundaes and family bike rides. maybe not the most spiritual of sundays but we are together and not being too rowdy, so for us it's better than sitting around being miserable. maybe when we're older we'll go visit the sick or something.
You are so not failing them! Sundays are hard when it comes to keeping kids entertained besides the everyday ways. I'm still trying to figure it out too - if I figure something out, I'll let you know. You're doing great!
Wow, I've missed a lot of posts in the last few days! Sundays are SO hard, I have no advice for you expect that we have a family prayer before church every Sunday so that Parker will be a good boy.
Those are such wonderful pictures of my parents. Jill, you have to teach me your secrets with our camera.
Poor Olivia. You are so strong, I would have been sobbing watching the Dr. put that thing up her nose. I will be awaiting your post tomorrow to see how the dr. visit went.
Jill, Sundays used to be hard for me, too. We take our kids on a family picnic. There are two very beautiful, and quiet, parks near our home. We pack a lunch and head over. For hours our girls go on walks, pick flowers, and lay on a blanket just chatting away. It lets them get outside but still keep the sabbath day holy.
Also, before we leave we let them watch "Jesus movies." Any church movie. The church history ones, the ones that show Christ's birth, etc. They LOVE them!
We also do tons of puzzles and quiet crafts.
Lastly, at night we watch funniest home videos and eat the dessert we made that afternoon. It takes a good half hour to make dough and let them scoop out each cookie. :)
Good luck!
I feel the same way! We watch church movies or just old classic musicals and try to look a pictures from the Gospel Art Kit and often go for walks (but they are not allowed to ride their bikes or scooters), but it is still a very tuff day. I hope to gain some ideas from other people too!
so fun to get caught up on the last few posts!I've been behind!
Sundays are hard for everyone! We have the 1 p.m. block so in a way it's good because we are slow to get the day started and just by the time we get home it's dinner time and then soon bed time!
My girls would color all day. I'd find some fun scripture coloring books or pages and have a art time. Living scriptures are also great to have on hand on Sundays.
Yea I got nothing for you, but I just want to let you know that Ella's dress is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Do they make them in big kid sizes???
